That being the sound of my pious painting intentions shattering against reality. I've made virtually zero progress this weekend due to a cascading series of domestic issues, each trivial in nature but sufficient in aggregate to keep me away from the painting table.

P.S. Blogger has been playing silly buggers for a while now. DeleteRoss had a problem as well and my own views on the new version have been mentioned! It takes some getting used to and is still buggy...
ReplyDeleteIt was getting like that even before the new version arrived. I suspect there's a limit to how long they can keep this creaky old platform performing!

ReplyDeleteLife can be frustrating at times but would you rather be without a family, I know I wouldn't.
I likewise have had distractions lately and painting failures - in the end I just did the best I could with my LDs and they're now awaiting the final coat of varnish. To be honest without my painting glasses on and with the wonder properties of gloss varnish (1st spray coat) they're actually looking OK.

Delete*Laughter*. When these are done I'll actually have painted 96 altogether, if you add in the Prussians and Hanoverians, so it's not quite as desperate as I'm making out. I'm just fishing for sympathy.
DeleteAs I'm just finishing off my first unit 96 sounds like a lot! To be honest you already have enough for a good game so everything should just be indulgence now. As your armies continue to grow you must avoid the temptation to always put them all out smaller games with room to manoeuvre are usually more fun than wall-to-wall blood-letting.
