Cuirassiers Coming Closer.....

I can scarcely believe that another week has shot by. Nevertheless, time was somehow found for painting and I'm pleased to report that the dreaded cuirassiers are finally nearing  completion.

Once again, it's really only the metallics and a few gauntlets and what not left to do, so I'm full of confidence that they'll be finished by next week.

Mind you, these have been an absolute curse so far, so anything could happen....

Yours, fingers crossed,

WM

  2. These are looking great Matthew, not an easy figure to bring to life but your doing just that!

    1. I think part of the problem with these was that I'd convinced myself they were just ugly figures, but I'm finally coming round to a more positive view!

  3. They are looking rather nice Matthew...
You can almost hear the thunder of hooves on the other side of the hill... I had better form a square 😱

    All the best. Aly

    1. Cheers Aly. I'll line 'em up against the 73rd when they're finished and we'll see what happens!

  4. Even in their incomplete state, it is easy to tell what fine fellows these will be. Get cracking!

  5. I think they look fantastic.

It might be a bind at the moment but think of all the plus modifiers they will get when they are finally deployed on the battlefield!

    1. My enemies (yes, that's you JC and DF) are already quaking in their boots, Matt.

  6. Please forgive my premature adulation, but they look fantastic already. Isn't it odd how the completion of just one or two smaller parts will suddenly make a group of figures come magically to life?

    Best Regards,

    Stokes

    1. Thank you Stokes. Yes, it is odd, and it took a punishingly long time to achieve that with these particular perishers.

  7. They look rather spiffing.

I am planning on doing some more Cavalry myself. I have a unit of relatively simple Prussian Dragoons and far more complex French Guard Lancers in mind. I also have a unit of recast French Cuirassier in my to do pile.

    1. Cheers Mark. I'm also rather fixated on Dragoons of one sort or another at the moment, so there may well be some appearing at this end too in the nearish future!
