What with all the talk of being shot to pieces and running away in the Comments, I thought I should post this quick test shot of the Guard getting ready for their grand photo session. Muskets & Marshals make guards units almost impossible to beat. That big red splodge, it occurred to me, is probably all that's left of the last lot to tackle with them.

ReplyDeleteAlthough it's very tempting is to leave them standing about in the rear where Baron Driberg won't be able to get at them, this doesn't tend to be my usual MO, David. I expect them to be shot to pieces.
DeleteSimply works of art. No wonder the emperor is content. Make sure you don't put them in danger. Russian artillery is particularly well practised of late....
ReplyDeleteThey have an unfair advantage, Archduke. It's those little brass plates on their hats. When I painted them on they went "ping". The Chasseurs are feeling a bit miserable about this.

Thank you, Aly. I'm very pleased with them. This is my first attempt at the GaP. Two abortive forays into Napoleonics in my teens petered out long before I was able to get to them.
