The Dancing Soldier

I'm on a bit of enforced leave at the moment as we have covid in the household. We're all doing well, but the devil makes work for idle hands....

And, with a crudely added background....

    1. Those little lead men are bendier than I thought Rob.

We're all OK. The lurgified one is mending well. I'm symptom free and hiding out in the living room.

  2. A dancing soldier and a new title page. You have been busy during this enforced leave! Me too; the Lammings are painted!

  3. So that'll be Covid of the brain then? ;o)
Nonetheless the Light Bob Boogie was an enchanting and whimsical way to start the day.
I had just got back from an early morning walk to make the most of a misty morning as the sun was brutal* when out walking yesterday.
[*brutal in an English summer sort of way, I imagine less so from a colonial perspective]

    1. All I really did was paint the soldier Rob. Our new AI overlords did the rest!

  4. Just followed a TMP link to this site:
    https://tabletopdeutschland.com/2023/05/30/russisch-deutsche-legion/
Knowing you have RGL and plans for more I thought of you, but the site has far more than just RGL.
Had you seen this site before?

    1. That is an etremely useful link. Thank you! I note that there's still some disagreement about the cuffs worn by the 2nd Brigade. The text says blue but the reenactors have got red!

  5. Now, if your AI could make whole units march across the table that would be worth doing - imagine the AARs you could make! But as for having your poor chap make a fool of himself in front of the men, perhaps best to keep quiet and hope no-one mentions it...

    1. Sorry Rob! I just can't resist experimenting with the amazing online tools that are out there nowadays. They do not work well, however, with figures holdings things accross their bodies. The effects get really weird if you try that.

  6. Excellent bit of work WM, now you've given me an idea for the Imperial Guard Band...

  7. Splendid…
How does it work with cavalry?

    All the best. Aly

    1. It seems not. I used the Meta "Animated Drawings" online tool, which appears to be strictly for very simple bipeds!
